1. Technique, London
Opened in summer 2021, Technique is the pinnacle of future-facing, thoughtful, human-centric office design. It has been built with a radical responsibility to the local environment and respect for people who work there. The building represents the potential for sustainability to be an art – rather than mere duty.
2. Unity, Brighton
This new office for real-time 3D platform Unity, creates ample space for both work and play. The community-driven environment spread over 4-storeys fosters connectivity whilst providing an exceptional client-facing experience.
3. Rapid7, Belfast
US cyber-security firm expand into Europe with the best-connected digital office in Belfast. One of the most engaging workplaces in Northern Ireland, it includes a bar, library, games room and “maker space” – featuring Lego walls and 3D printers. The space fully embodies Rapid7’s creative and bold spirit.
4. Lounge, Solihull
This activity-based workplace in the Midlands prioritises health and wellness, with an emphasis on delivering home comforts. Enviable features include a fully equipped gym, cinema club, treatment and wellness rooms. The cherry on top? A ‘zen den’.
5. FarmED, Cotswolds
FarmED is an office, education centre and conference space advocating regenerative farming practices. The environment-first design is beautifully restrained and authentic to their purpose. Their communal café space, FarmEAT, promotes local low carbon eating, arranged around a central pizza oven.
6. ClientEarth, London
The new office for environmental charity, ClientEarth, exudes natural beauty. Greenery and planting create a rustic feel with biophilic design principals, whilst extensive use of recycled, reclaimed, and reworked furniture contributed to it achieving a SKA Gold rating.
7. Nodi, Gothenburg
Gothenburg’s first wooden office building showcases the structural possibilities and expressive aesthetics of wood. Its upside-down shape reflects the courageous vision of the project as it becomes a hub for local entrepreneurs.
8. Here + Now, Reading
This mightily impressive 145,000 sq ft office development goes above and beyond. It is the UK’s first to achieve BREEAM Outstanding, Fitwel three-star and RESET Air accreditation. An unprecedented trio of wellness and sustainability.
9. Bánáti + Hartvig Architects, Budapest
This architecture office has been built with environmentally friendly, cycle-based principals to its core. The decision to leave surfaces unpainted and bare throughout, minimises environmental impact whilst exposing the rich history and tapestry of the building.
10. MS Society, London
With its multi-disciplinary and human-centric approach, this new office space signals a shift from siloed to flexible working. Inclusive and inspiring design principals, combined with best-in-class accessibility, create an agile space for employees to thrive.
11. Impact Working, Bristol
Original co-working brand, Impact Working, have designed their office to promote tranquillity, relaxation, and collaboration. Biophilia features throughout – with extensive greening, real trees, and even hanging monkeys!
12. Vizcaya12, Madrid
5 minutes from Atocha Station, Vizcaya12 is emphatically green and future-proof. Fusing comfort and convenience with smart design features, fit-out flexibility, and touchless technology it unreservedly bows to the future.
