LONDON – October 2024 – TSP Director & Head of Property Management, Abigail Burt, has been shortlisted as a finalist at Property Week’s 2024 Inspiring Women in Property Awards, in the Team Leader of the Year – Commercial Property category.

The award celebrates the property industry’s most outstanding team leaders, those who, through their abilities in communication and their vision, have led others to deliver on strategic goals in ways that exceed standards across the UK commercial real estate sector.

Abi has demonstrated that in her role she has attracted, retained and progressed a diverse workforce. The shortlisting also acknowledges Abi’s awareness of diversity in its widest sense to create an inclusive workplace that in turn motivates her team to succeed.

Abi joined TSP in 2012 as a Senior Associate Surveyor specialising in lease management, portfolio restructuring and carrying out professional property instructions on behalf of charities. Since then, Abi has quickly progressed to Director level, overseeing a team of 13 people who are responsible with all aspects of direct investment in commercial real estate and asset management. She has been instrumental in growing TSP’s portfolio of assets under managements on behalf of commercial landlords and institutional investors, including The City Cloisters Estate in Old Street and Great Suffolk Yard in Southwark. Abi has contributed to growing TSP’s sq ft under management by 10% while income increased by 18%, 3.5% over target over the past 12 months.

Over the past 12 months, Abi has stepped up efforts to create an inclusive and wellbeing-oriented workplace at TSP where 80% are women from diverse backgrouds. Her initiatives include improving overall work life balance for the whole team by reviewing resourcing, improving efficiencies, outsourcing and growing the team.

Abi’s ambition is to further expand TSP’s property management and managed space services while ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and values.

Zac Goodman, CEO and founder, TSP commented: “Abi is not only a force for good in promoting diversity in the real estate sector she is also a disruptive thinker and a believer in technology as sustainability as means of improving the delivery and management of commercial real estate. She has made an incredible impact on TSP and the way differentiate ourselves in the market and I am proud to see that her talent and passion have been acknowledged in the award shortlisting. Abi is a true leader and an inspiration for our team.”

TSP was one the first companies in the real estate sector to achieve B Corp status, with sustainability and social value key to their investment and management strategy. TSP invests in energy inefficient, small to medium sized office buildings in London, bringing deep retrofit expertise to turn them into sustainable workplaces. In its role as a property manager, TSP manages offices in London on behalf of clients including Tailored Living Solutions and Hyundai.

Over recent years TSP has continued to grow its investment activity through its TSP Flex platform and other balance sheet investments. TSP is backed by a growing number of family offices, institutions and investors looking for a hands-on investor with deep asset management capability. Whilst mainly acting as GP, TSP also invests as an LP providing liquidity at all levels of the capital structure.
